About Rachel Corsi
Rachel Corsi is a singer-songwriter with an earnest voice and empathic ear. A lifelong performer in groups ranging from college a cappella ensembles to a hip hop/soul band, Rachel is currently working on her debut solo album as well as a collaborative lullaby album.
When her grant writing career brought Rachel to South Texas from Michigan, she didn't know where to turn to nurture her musical passion. Seven years and many fortuitous experiences later, she changed career paths and co-launched The Prelude, a music shop and venue that specializes in supporting the Rio Grande Valley's up-and-coming singer-songwriters.
Rachel's musical journey is reflected in the heart of "Stone Song," a tune she wrote shortly after moving to Texas in 2009: "If I let go, where will I be? / Empty handed and abandoned to uncertainty / But maybe at the edge of the empty is where our lives begin / So I release the fear and let the love flow in."
