About Brats
BRATS is the Japanese girls rock band formed by sisters Rei Kuromiya and Aya Kuromiya. Their music expresses the bold, loud sound of today’s Japanese youth.
Rei Kuromiya (17, vocals)
Aya Kuromiya (19, bass)
Hinako (21, guitar)
BRATS began in August 2011 when Rei Kuromiya, who had been modeling as an idol since she was 8 years old, became a vocalist at the age of 10. Rei’s sister Aya Kuromiya plays the bass, and Aya’s friend Hinako plays the guitar.
Rei was chosen as “Miss iD 2015″ at Kodansha’s annual idol contest in September, 2014, and BRATS released the song “14-sai byou” (“14-year old disease”) in 2015. Their song “Ainikoiyo” (“Come see me”) was released in 2016 as the opening theme for the anime series To Be Hero, and the follow-up single “Nounai Shoukyo Game” was chosen for the feature film action comedy Slavemen.
In 2017, BRATS returned to the stage for their March 29 “Reborn” concert at Ikebukuro Live Inn Rosa, the band’s first live event in over 2 years. BRATS released their double-single “Ainikoiyo”/”Nounai Shoukyo Game” worldwide on June 21, 2017.
