About Amy-Jo Clough

Bouncing between sumptuous RnB-infused Pop with sprinklings of contemporary Jazz and dance, 20 year old singer/songwriter Amy Jo Clough is the epitome of the modern Artist who began her singing career at the age of 8. Inspired by the great female R&B singers such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and influenced by her contemporaries Beyoncé and Jess Glynne, Amy Jo acquired her deep love of music and begun to forge her own musical identity. By the time she was in school her big voice had swept through a number of local talent shows where she wowed audiences with mesmerising renditions of Alicia Keys’ “fallin”. The contest helped shine a spotlight on the 11-year-old and earned her an appearances alongside American group and Motown legends “The Four Tops”. Continuing to home-in on her singing, Amy Jo entered more contests and still 13 won “North West Search for a Star” culminating in a performance alongside The Vamps and in front of an audience of 20K. Other highlights include performances at “Miss Teen Great Britain”, “Miss Galaxy “ and “Miss England”. Over the next few years Amy Jo began to fine-tune her writing skills and took her music on the road and performing on the same bill as Heaven 17, Rick Astley, Toploader, Alexander O’Neal, Union J, Pixie Lott, Scouting For Girls, Stooshe and Little Mix at Blackpool Illuminations. 2015 saw the release of her debut Ep “Integrity” which showcased a songwriter growing in confidence. The Ep’s title track “Come Around” was received extremely well by the local press and media making the playlist on Bay Radio, Radio Lancashire, Halifax Radio, Preston FM, Lakeland Radio, City Beat Radio and BBC Introducing. Later that year Amy Jo would feature on the charity single “It Won’t Be Long Till Christmas” in aid of the devastating floods that struck the North West of England. The single charted at #102 in the UK charts and featured extensively on BBC News. I'm an 20 year old singer/songwriter bouncing between RnB-infused Pop with sprinklings of Jazz and Dance.
