About Boggy Branch Band

The Boggy Branch Band originates from a small community nestled within the heart of Polk County, Florida. A town too small for even traffic light named "Alturas." Winding and turning through the woods and marshlands of Alturas, runs a little creek/branch, named the Boggy Branch. The original band members all lived within a stone's throw from the scenic-historic banks of the Boggy Branch which is located just North of Beer Can Hill and just South of Starvation Ridge. For many years the founder of this band (Henry Brewer) donned an acoustic guitar with family members and friends, around hunting camps and other events and locations, as they strummed the nights away. Singing around campfires, aspiring of being more than amateur musicians, they put their talents together and organized a family band. Early in 1998 they made the decision to pursue a career in the entertainment business and established the Boggy Branch Band. The band performed across the Southern United States including Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and their home state of Florida. They entertained thousands of eager listeners. In 2006 they released their debut self-titled CD with Thunderhawk Records and received much airplay. From large venues and clubs to honky-tonks and taverns, this band dedicated themselves to satisfying their audiences with their unique style of entertainment. Family, friends and togetherness is the thing that set this band apart from the beginning.

Late in 2010 Boggy Branch Band singer and guitar player Mac Brewer moved to Indiana. He joined Trent Flynn and Scott Allen of Middletown Indiana. Together they formed a new version of the Boggy Branch Band. Since then they have played shows big and small around central Indiana. While the music has evolved over time, the Boggy Branch Band with their own blend of rockin’ country and blues brings the same high level of entertainment they have always been known for. They want every audience to feel the same spirit and tradition of family, friends and togetherness that has always been such a big part of this band. And of course the last song of each night will always be "Goodbye Time".
