But, alexalone’s first full length album, ALEXALONEWORLD, wasn't merely about the sound, it was an exercise in world building, and a portrait of the artist cradling and nurturing their emotions as they create, navigating labyrinths of pain as they search for exits, and hoping for a haven where they can survey the damage and regroup.

On the band’s sweeping sophomore album, ALEXALONE TECHNICAL RESEARCH, alexalone expands their sound with jarring and intricate rhythms, while at the same time introducing incredibly lush shoegaze soundscapes that are at times both dissonant and cohesive.
