Whitehorse

Whitehorse was great (as usual) unfortunately the crows was reduced because of the blizzard raging outside. I was not pleased with the organization from having to wait till 48 hours before the show to get my tickets, which were paid for in Sept. and when I did I was not able to find any with a bar code which annoyed the ticket taker. There was nobody to announce the schedule and when the intermission was to take place. The lighting was harsh. and worst of all was we walked across from the Prince George through the pedway which was locked when we came out of the concert and we had to go outside to get back to the hotel for which we were not properly dressed.

Dragged my husband to concert not knowing about what we would see. They are phenomenal together. Les country and more rock for us going forward

I discovered Whitehorse at a dance event that played their cover of "Nadine". I was taken by the fresh, funkier contemporary arrangement and had to find out who played it. Turned out it was "Whitehorse" and I started down the rabbit hole of their catalog of music. Many diverse styles: folk, what they call Americana music, blues, some rock and roll, tex-mex, and now country. My wife and I saw them at the Ignition Music Garage in Goshen Indiana. This is small, intimate venue that has a wonderful feel. I was thrilled that they were going to play only 40 miles from me as I thought it would have required going to either Ann Arbor, Evanston, or Canada! In many of their shows they have featured using many instruments and then building their songs by layering loops. When we saw the stage it only had a couple of mics, amps, and guitars. So it was to be a more stripped duo show and I didn't know what to think. It turns out it was fantastic. Luke and Melissa's voices blend marvelously and Melissa's solid rhythm guitar allows Luke to stretch out with his Gretsch White Falcon. I really couldn't have asked for anything more other than if they'd played for another hour but maybe next time. The rapport and play between them during the songs reminded me of the Civil Wars. I never did get to see them but am so glad that i got to enjoy Whitehorse. I certainly will be keeping track of their touring dates and will catch another show when they are within driving distance,

the event was great as usual.... they even got Luke's dad Roland to come out and twang along !!!

Melissa and Luke were in fine form and their set list included a great blend of old and new songs. Their drummer was also very expertly backing them up. The mix of songs with just the two of them, with the drummer and with guests on stage was also excellent. They are really the greatest act around.

These guys are super fantastic. We waited three years to see them as their scheduled concert at the NAC was cancelled due to Covid. We were excited to see them and they did not disappoint!!!!!

One of the best duos you can ever catch live. They are both incredibly talented and I love all of their albums, but it's their charisma, energy and obvious adoration for each other that truly makes the live show something special to be a part of.

Perfect venue, wonderful show. Never seen Whitehorse before, or opening act: NQ Arbuckle. Enjoyed them both very much!

This show was pure magic that filled my heart with so much musical joy, it ached. The lean 3-piece band (down to only Melissa and Luke for several sounds) was intimate and instrumentally clean and yet rich. And the vocals and harmonies were superb bringing goosebumps repeatedly. Luke is one of my favourite guitarists and he always leaves me smiling AND then he pulls back and leaves me wanting more. This is my 3rd time seeing Whitehore (plus I saw Luke play solo) and they always deliver an astounding, heartfelt, and sonically rich show.

Awesome that they came to play in the little town of Harrow! They were great and so was back up artist NQ Arbuckle ! Would like to see him with his full band !

Intimate venue. These guy put on one hell of a show. I liked them before, I LOVE them now. Words can not describe how fantastic they are. From the musicianship, the intricate harmonies and moving lyrics, all this and more add up to an audiophiles nirvana. You will leave with goosebumps and sweaty if you’re able to leave at all.

3rd time I've seen Whitehorse, twice in Saskatoon and also in Iqaluit a few years ago when I worked in the Arctic. A shredding lead guitar and a driving bass, with 2 voices blending perfectly. Some of their standards, which never get tired, and some new music. How wonderful that we get music like this at a great venue right at home. The only thing that would make this better.....nevermind, it was a perfect evening!

Another fantastic performance by Luke and Melissa. It was in a cool little indoor, outdoor church called “The Tabernacle” in the quaint summer community of Thousand Island Park. Even their son Jimi got involved by taking our tickets. See you in KW this Thursday.

Great show and they made it with an Orchestra Behind them. The close with the Springsteen Cover was amazing. Welcome home you two.

Whitehorse was amazing! So together, musical, beautiful! Opener, Terra Lightfoot was also fabulous, lots of energy, such a good sound, great keyboardist!

Whitehorse was amazing, great to watch two talented musicians make music. Too many guests coming on stage though which really drew it out and made me lose interest near the end. Also really disappointed that I didn't hear Achilles desire!

Best audio quality I've heard at a concert in a long time. Great job! They kept my attention the whole time. Was an amazing show.

These 2 aren't just musicians they're technicians! What an entertaining exhibition of talent. The acoustics were near pitch perfect and if you're a fan of the electric guitar you'd be hard pressed to find a more entertaining virtuoso than Luke Doucet.
