Alex Burke

Born in 1992, Alex Burke is a rising country star from Northern Virginia. Signed to Washington, DC based label Potomac Records in early 2014, Alex is a force to be reckoned with, in the ever growing popularity of mainstream modern country music. With a sound unique and full of his own charismatic personality, all comes through in his debut release “THIS MEMORY”, available on all digital media outlets early July (2014). A self-made musician, Alex dedicated time and effort to mastering his craft from the day he could pick up an instrument. A gifted guitarist and singer in his own right, Alex began supplementing his natural gift with lessons from a formal voice coach and award winning songwriter/instrumentalist in his late teens and early twenties. He has additionally acquired knowledge and experience on the harmonica, organ, and drums over his music career. As a teen, Alex was the lead singer in a three-part band prior to beginning his solo career. His preferred genre is country music, and he especially enjoys performing country covers of Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, and Toby Keith at local pubs and corporate events in the Northern Virginia/DMV area. These artists have also influenced Alex’s personal style, which has developed into a laid-back country style with modern hooks and a nod to traditional country attitude, featuring acoustic guitar and soothing vocals. Alex has produced his own original songs and lyrics to accompany other genres of music such as rock, alternative and acoustic music, as well. Alex has taken his love for music beyond playing instruments and writing lyrics, expanding his skills to songwriting, engineering and producing.
