Jacob Stiefel Music

Jacob Stiefel (Stee-full), born and raised in Fort Payne, AL, has been operating his steam-building music career out of Nashville, TN, since arriving there in 2009. Music has been in his life since long before making the move to Music City, though. After shifting from piano to guitar lessons at age 9, he hasn’t put it down since. Jacob claims his musical taste & sound was initially molded by the vinyl record and 8-track collection from his father. “I can remember Dad first showing me how to lower the needle onto the grooves of the vinyl records. When I grew tall enough to reach the record shelves, I was off to the races. Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Charlie Daniels… It was like audio heaven…” Jacob really caught the music performance bug during high school and into college, playing for friends at parties and in college bars around Tuscaloosa, AL. Upon graduating from the University of Alabama in 2009, he moved to Nashville to pursue his future in music.
After 3 years of gigging in the downtown Nashville bars on Broadway, Jacob released his first EP in Spring 2012, and began hitting the road across the Southeast and Midwest. While touring consistently more and more, from Texas to Wisconsin to Florida and all in between, he also released an EP in Fall 2013 and his 3rd release in Nov 2015. This 3rd release, “The Memphis Sessions”, was recorded at historic Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis, TN, and was produced by Halley Phillips, the granddaughter of Sam Phillips (Sun Records, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, etc.). While he has come a long way since picking up the guitar at 9 years old, Jacob holds steady saying, “Oh, I’m just gettin’ started…”
