1) Foley emerged in Gravesend, Kent during the early 2000's when Richard Lock, Mark Thompson and David Collins came together with the idea of self producing a multi-styled musical album in only their bed rooms! Creating everything from scratch with no outside influences and only using local music talents to add vocals and other instruments to the mix. The Foley three have been friends since high school.

Richard J Lock has been playing music since a young age and his passion took over after finding an old guitar in his attic at the age of 10. Over the years he has become known as a very talented and versatile guitarist and has been involved with many bands and projects such as "LO" and "The Wilderness Years" to name a few. To his credit has also become known for his skills as a drummer in such bands as "The StarvinUngries" and "40 Odd Yards". Richard has also worked as a studio engineer/producer and has qualifications in Advanced Sound Production.

Mark Thompson began making electronic music in his early teens when he bought a second hand drum machine and quickly became hooked on programming beats. As his bedroom studio grew, so did his repertoire of production skills. A popular local figure, Mark enjoys collaborating with other local musical talents to create new and interesting sounds.

David Collins inspired by friend's home studios began making music in his mid teens. Over the years his own equipment grew along with his intrests in musical instruments. As well as becoming a creative producer David is now a bass guitarist in such bands as "Spank" and "Lo".

A`while`after starting work on the L.P. "Landscapes of choice", Foley enlisted the help of a few local artists and friends to bring some extra spice to their record. The first up was saxophone & violin maestroThomas Jones, a friend of Richard from a previous band. The second was french horn player Gareth Thire, another former band mate of Richard. Third, was turntablist and artist DJ Smudge, House mates with Mark and good friend of the band.

The first of the vocalists was the talented and experienced singer Emma Finch-Turner. Emma has a wide musical background and has had a top 10 hit with the act "Dream Catcher" as well as many other professional projects. Emma came highly recomended to Richard by another Producer.

The second vocalist was an unknown singer by the name of Mandi Bailey. Mandi met Richard after She replied to an ad he had put in his local music store and she can currently been seen perfoming with her local band "the 10oclock angles".

To add another vocal dimension to the Foley sound they took advantage of an aspiring young rapper called Cylio. Cylio and his fellow MC's had previously recorded with Mark and Richard, both were highly entertained by his fresh style.

By putting their musical efforts together Richard, Mark and David have amassed a huge collection of tunes which is now used in media music under the name of "Larius Productions".

2) Joe McCreary, known professionally as Foley, played bass guitar for Miles Davis from 1987 until 1991. Foley spent many years playing in Columbus, Ohio where he was born and raised , composing and recording his own music. Foley sometimes fulfills the role of a lead guitarist, with his famous Blue Marble "Lead bass." He tunes his instrument one octave higher than usual and uses a combination of effects pedals and his own unique phrasing to achieve a sound more closely associated with that of a lead guitar. He played a lead bass solo on Mint Condition's R&B Top 30 hit "So Fine".
Foley is featured on the Miles Davis albums Amandla, Dingo, Live Around The World, and The Complete Miles Davis at Montreux.
The Motown recording artist released an album 7 Years Ago...Directions In Smart-Alec Musicin 1993. The album featured the moderate hit "If It's Positive". The song (and it's video) features guest appearances from Speech and Aerle Taree (of Arrested Development). The video also had a good rotation in airplay. He was also seen in Arrested Development's Ease My Mind video. He has toured with the group on numerous occasions, even appearing live on the Arsenio Hall Show with them , while also holding down double-duty during Lollapolooza '93 with Fishbone.
