Dorothea a tribute to DORO

The German artist DORO is and will probably remain the most renowned female metal artist, known from the 80’s as one of the Heavy Metal genres’ few female performers, releasing 4 Albums up to 1987 together with Warlock.
1989 saw the release of her first solo album Force Majeure, subsequent releases bringing the current album total to 16 (2012).

Dorothea is a tribute band to Doro, formed in 2012 in South West Norway, the initiative coming from 2 ex members of the band SKALLEBANK, Stig and Victoria, both long time admirers of the talents of Doro, the Queen of Metal. Following much effort to fulfill the ambition, Dorothea featuring Doro’s songs and songs covered by Doro e.g. Billy Idol, Judas Priest performed by: Victoria (vocals), Cato(guitar), Stig (guitar), Marius (percussion) and Reidar (bass) is a band that really ROCKS.

Den tyske artisten DORO er verdens største kvinnelige metal artist og vil være det for alltid!! Vi kjenner henne fra 1980-tallet som en av de få kvinnelige artistene innen heavy metal. Hun ga ut 4 album med WARLOCK fram til 1987. I 1989 kom første solo album under navnet DORO, og siden har det gått slag i slag.

Dorothea er et tributeband som ble etablert i 2012. Bandet som kommer fra Jæren området består av Victoria på vokal, Cato på gitar, Stig på gitar, Marius på trommer og Reidar på bass.
Stig og Victoria kommer fra bandet SKALLEBANK. Begge har et nært hjerte til DORO, selveste «Queen Of Metall» som artist. Da de kom inn på tanken ved å starte et tribute band så ble det lagt mye engasjement og lidenskap inn for å få de rette brikkene på plass. Resultatet er blitt et band som virkelig rocker, og spiller Doro sine låter samt artister som Doro har spilt cover på, eks. Billy Idol og Judas Priest.
