Trees Take Ease

Trees Take Ease is the solo project of Brooklyn-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Stephen Becker. Initially a bedroom project based out of his dusty Ohio home, TTE began soon after Stephen's graduation from Oberlin College where he was exposed to worlds of acoustic and electric music, absorbing jazz, European classical, and contemporary composition by day and experimental rock and folk music by night. Equal parts whimsical and wistful, Trees Take Ease bridges the gap between songs and soundscapes, giving listeners something melodic to hum along to and something thoughtful to digest. Stephen has since moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he can be found reading on the A train, cycling to prospect park, and pickling in the kitchen. He also plays in Brooklyn-based bands Drama Section, Really Big Pinecone and Market.
