Path Of Sorrow

ITA I Path Of Sorrow sono una Swedish Death Metal band con influenze che vanno dal Thrash al Gothenburg sound. Nati a fine 2012, vedono il proprio debutto sul palco a distanza di poco più di un anno dalla loro fondazione. A fine 2014 il gruppo vive un radicale cambio della line up, con l'innesto di tre nuovi membri: due chitarristi ed il batterista. Tale mutamento offre nuove prospettive per la musicalità dei pezzi, che si spostano sempre più verso il Melodic Death, e per l'impatto sonoro/tecnico più completo sia dal punto di vista del sound che della resa live. Nel 2015 la band (aprendo a gruppi storici come Necrodeath, Electrocution, The Modern Age Slavery, Epitaph, The Vision Bleak ecc), comincia a vedere i frutti del proprio lavoro svolto in sala, riscontrando sempre più consensi dai propri fan ma soprattutto da chi non li conosceva ancora. Nel Febbraio 2016 entrano nei Blackwave Studio di Fabio Palombi (Nerve) per registrare il loro primo full-length ufficiale, 2 mesi dopo ricominciano le esibizioni live che li portano in giro per l'Italia e in alcune date estere (Germania). Nel mese di Giugno (con disco e artwork completo) iniziano la ricerca di una etichetta che possa supportare la band, ricerca che si conclude a Settembre firmando con la Buil2Kill per la stampa, con conseguente distribuzione fisica (tramite la Audioglobe per l'Italia e la Code7/Plastic Head per l'Europa) e digitale (tramite la Believe Digital) dell'album. Il 2017 vede la band nuovamente impegnata in esibizioni in Italia e Germania (concretizzando l'opportunità di aprire ad altri gruppi di rilievo come Moonspell, The Foreshadowing, Necrotted, ecc) oltre che partecipe all'album tributo Necrodeath intitolato “The Cult of Necrodeath” ( uscito in Novembre, realizzato da Black Tears Label/Cult of Cthulhu) con la reinterpretazione del brano “Smell of Blood”. Verso fine 2017 la band rivive un secondo profondo cambio di line up che offre il benvenuto a due nuovi chitarristi ed un batterista. ENG Path Of Sorrow is a Swedish Death Metal band from Genoa, Italy, taking inspiration mainly from Thrash and from the Gothenburg sound. Founded in the late 2012, their live debut took place one year later. In the late 2014, a massive line-up change occured: both guitar players were replaced as well as the drummer. This led to new musical directions, shifting to more Melodic Death sounds, and to an improved stage presence. Back on the road in the spring 2015 (playing as opening act for historical bands such as Necrodeath, Electrocution, The Modern Age Slavery, Epitaph, The Vision Bleak etc.), in February 2016, the band started recording their first official full-length album at Fabio Palombi’s (Nerve) Blackwave Studio and after two months they started performing live again: this took them around Italy and abroad (Germany) as well. In June (with both cd and artwork completed) the band began searching for a label, and in September, they signed with Buil2Kill records, for the physic (entrusted to Audioglobe for Italy and to Code7/Plastic Head for U-K and Europe) and digital (entrusted to Believe Digital) distribution of the album. 2017 saw the band again involved in a plethora of gigs across Italy and Germany, where they had an opening for bands such as Moonspell, The Foreshadowing and Necrotted. They also had the chance to record their take on ‘Smell of Blood’ on Necrodeath’s tribute album ‘The Cult of Necrodeth’, which came out in November and was produced by Black Tears Label/Cult of Cthulu. They ended the year with a refreshed band line-up, welcoming in two new guitarists and a new drummer. There's only one path to follow... the Path of Sorrow..
