Gil Donatelli Music

Gil is a native of Portland, Maine, and a cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He holds a BA in Music Education. Gil's certification is as a music specialist grades K-12 and he also maintains an Assistant Principal's certificate for the state of Maine.

In his 28 years as a music educator in public and private schools, he has worked as a concert band, jazz band and choral director, adjudicator, adjunct professor of applied guitar (college level), clinician, dorm counselor and varsity water sports coach. He also has done extensive graduate studies in Jazz Studies, Education Administration and Instructional Leadership.

In 2000 and 2001, he was invited to found and direct the Maine High School Jazz All-Stars to perform in concert with Dave Brubeck, Dame Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth.
