About One More Weekend
One More Weekend currently reside in Melbourne Australia where they won 'Best Act' at the Knox Big Break festival on just their third live performance. Since then, the group has gone from strength to strength playing over 170 shows throughout Australia sharing the stage with diverse artists such as Bec Sandridge, Reece Mastin, Arkive and Skies Collide.
Formed in 2016 the band consists of brothers Connor Dougan (guitar, lead vocals) and Leith Dougan (bass guitar, Backing vocals) and completed by Tim Aslett (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Jayson Riley (Drums).
With an original style that spans genres flowing easily from rock to pop and writing songs filled with catchy hooks and rock rhythms the band have often been compared to The 1975 and Foo Fighters amongst others.
"Opportunity" is the first of three single/video releases slated for 2023 and is to be followed with a release show at Melbourne's iconic Cherry Bar on Sat 25th Feb. The band will then tour the song in March with venues to be announced. "Opportunity is about those moments in your life where it can be a real crossroads, a turning point if you like" states Connor Dougan. "The walls closing in on the video signifies that though an opportunity has come to light, it will only be present for a moment and it’s not always an easy decision to make within that timespan."
The band have now racked up an impressive back catalogue with previous video singles "Raindrops," "Colourful Things" and "Talk" all producing sold out release shows and this on top of their debut album release "We Used To…" gathering 175,000 streams on the Spotify platform alone see's the band ready to take the next step forward in their career.
