About SCD

Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition was established in February 1996, in the spirit of participation in the development of the most extreme music. Each band member was initially influenced by the death, grind, crust, and hard core scenes. SCD seeks to present a personal musical expression, and does not hesitate to question, for each album, his previous choices, to change, without imposing constraints over modes, or general changes over the years, of the scene, and of the band. A first demo in the form of split tape, self-produced in July 1997, SCD / Infected Pussy, has materialized the first months of the band and gave him an existence in the underground. A first album was released in split cd, SCD / ROT in August 1998 on the label Bones Brigade, and consolidated and developed the reputation of the group, even beyond the underground. More than two years have separated out the first album, from the second CD in March 2001. During this period, the band has accumulated shows and festivals, to digest the more experiences possible, and recorded in March 2000, a split 7'', SCD / Lymphatic Phlegm, marking strongly band identity in the early years. The third CD was produced by Osmose Productions in 2003. He completed the first seven years of efforts of the band, allowing considering as accomplished the original musical researches. This album also brought opportunities on a global scale, including a long tour over a month through the United States in 2003. Autumn 2003 was a turning point in the course of SCD, both by line-up important changes than by the decision to open any discussion on the earlier fundamental, in order not to remain trapped in habits, and allow to consider new musical possibilities, with the most appropriate desires, put up in the fall of 2003 and developed by more. A demo of partial fourth album, was released in split ep by Relapse Records in 2006. The fourth album "Inventory Of Fixtures" was released on Bizarre Leprous Productions in 2007. This CD has embodied the new band's intentions, both related to changes in compositions, text, sound, and graphics. Previous gore grind influences see crust influences coming through to propose an original grind’n’roll musical blend associated to a strong voice character making the unique SCD sound. The fifth album “Sheep‘n’Guns”, recorded in 2011, is marking SCD 15th anniversary. With a clean & chirurgical sound, music composition has been push on a more death metal side. High technical skills & strong ‘n’roll influence propose a step further in the evolution of the band. New opportunities have come up and SCD participated festivals such as Hellfest, Motocultor, Neurotic Death, Sylak, Mass Destruction, SWR, Obscene and for the first time in band history a tour through the UK. Recorded end 2016, “Raping Angels in Hell”, the sixth album of Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, has shaped band effort to skillfully used all accumulated influences & experiences over the 21 years. Porno gore influences are back, subtle black metal touches show up in an album where musical composition, text writing & graphic creation have been pushed to its best completion so far. The result is a mature album with a true vocal inventiveness, memorable guitar riffs, a bunch of drums violence with a massive and organic thick overall sound in the idea of producing the 12 best songs the band has ever done in two decades. This album will be released in Gatefold LP, Digipack Cd & Cassette Tape on Animate Records. SCD IS BACK IN DEATH GRIND !!
