About Calum Ingram

Calum has played the cello from age nine and never looked back. He's developed a unique approach to the cello inter-twining his strings. He draws influences from Peter Gabriel, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Jack White and John Martyn. After studying at The New School - Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC Calum wrote and performed music for the off- Broadway Show "Devision Avenue " and won the award for "Best Sound Design" as part of The Midtown International Theatre Festival, New York City.

Later that year, he released his debut album "Making It Possible." With a show at " The Bitter End " in NYC. Calum's debut album was nominated for Best Album and for the Kevin Thorpe Award at the British Blues Awards in 2014.

Calum performed at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival opening for Jack Bruce in the Queens Hall. In 2015, he headlined the Acoustic Main Stage at "The Wicker Man Festival" in Scotland, followed by the release of his live EP "Turn Around" which was recorded at the CCA , Glasgow.

In 2016, he was invited to perform at "An Evening For Jack "special concert celebrating the life of the legendary Cream bassist, Jack Bruce, alongside Malcolm Bruce, Pete Brown, Mick Taylor, Steve Hackett, Bernie Marsden, Ginger Baker, Lulu, and Eddi Reader and many other Legendary musicians at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire , London.

In 2017, Calum was featured in the Sky Arts TV series- Tony Visconti's "Unsigned Heroes" which saw him performing a duet with Stewart Copeland (The Police) as part of Visconti's 50 Years in Music celebratory concert at Union Chapel London.

In 2019, Calum performed at the "Blues Autour Du Zinc " Festival in France, following by extensive touring.


He then signed a publishing deal with 23rd Precinct /Nottinghill /Kobalt Music.

2020 was a significant year for Calum as he released his first 7" inch vinyl double A-side summer single "Dancing In The Moonlight" and "Demon Eyes."

November 2023 Calum released single ' Show Me The Way " along with a video release.

He has now Wrapped up his next studio album which is set for release in April 2024.


Calum has toured and performed festivals in America, Europe, and the UK . including Wickerman , Edinburgh Jazz and Blues festival, Blues Autour Du Zinc, Melodica Festival, Celtic Connections, Edinburgh fiddle Festival, The Spree, Kelburn Garden Party, OxJam, Rusty Paul Tribute, Butefest, Mugstock, Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, Rock Oyster Festival, The Great Estate Festival, We are the Cae, Beardy folk Festival, John Martyn Gathering…

He has collaborated with many musicians including Vieux Farka Toure , The Ronstadt Brothers, Jasmine Rodgers and has supported Jack Bruce and American reggae superstars, Soja.

"Music is a powerful thing that can heal and bring people together lifting their spirits," says Calum. I've seen this first-hand while working with "Musicians in Exile," a group that helps asylum seekers and refugees. It is great to give back."

Musically, Calum's contributed to various charitable organisations. He has headlined Oxfam's Glasgow Oxfam Festival and appeared in a video performing John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Imagine" that was showcased John Lennon's social media platforms to help raise awareness for five charities.
