Since 2011, Irrelevent has held fast to a simple belief that is the heart of their music: there is a glaring need for genuine hip-hop with relatable lyrics. Fueled by a high-energy, interactive live show and inspired by the response of fans searching for rap with an intelligent message, brothers Dustin and Derek Curlee have taken Irrelevent from its humble beginnings on a Texas riverbank to the forefront of a growing rap movement. Irrelevent's debut album, Burn the Sheep, was born as a grassroots project, pulling back the curtain and allowing fans to experience each step involved in independently writing and releasing a studio album.
