TEACAKE

TEACAKE has been mesmerizing audiences for many years as a singer, model, dancer, and actor. She began honing her songwriting skills at a very young age. Give her a track, and if she's inspired, she'll write to it in a matter of minutes.
To show off those talents, Teacake has participated in several competitions. In 1998, she attended the Model and Talent Convention in New York where she won three honorary awards in runway, commercial, and photography. She won Fourth Runner-up in the Miss Texas American Teen Pageant in July 2001 where she also won six additional awards including best photogenic. She went to Hollywood, California and participated in the 2005 Debbie Allen FAMEUS Talent Competition, where she won 2nd place in the Triple Threat category. In 2006, she was honored to sing the National Anthem for two of Houston’s great ball teams, the Houston Astros and the Houston Comets. In 2008, she joined Royal Caribbean International as a performer for two consecutive contracts and Princess Cruises in 2009.
Teacake has performed many times around the Houston and surrounding areas both in theatres and live music venues. Her theater credits include Dancin’ in the Street: Motown and More Revue; The Great Caruso Dinner Theater in One Mo Time, Little Shop of Horrors, Aint Misbehavin’, 1950s Doo Wop, Dreamgirls, and Doo Wop 2: The Sequel; Murder at the Opera at the Wortham Theater; Plaza Suite at the O'Kane Theater where she was nominated Actress of the Year; The Ensemble Theater in The Twelve ways of Christmas, One Monkey Don't Stop No Show (nominated Best Actress), Christmas Comin' Uptown, Sparkle, A Pure Gospel Christmas, Gee's Bend, and for 3 consecutive years, Cinderella as Cinderella (nominated Best Leading Actress); TEACAKE also featured in the TUTS production of Dreamgirls and toured with Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Azamara Club Cruises.
She has graced the stages of Clarkes, Deans, The Red Cat Jazz Café’, Scott Gertner’s Skybar, Scott Gertner’s Sports Bar, The Horn, Grooves, Sullivan's, and many other reputable clubs, bars, and hotels.
Aside from being an electrifying entertainer, Teacake has taken her passions and started building an empire. She has a knack for business and has proven that by launching several companies. TeaMonae Enterprises is the parent company which oversees Artistik Mindz Group (teaching fine arts to children ages 4 to adults), PromPilot Corporation (a nonprofit organization catered to helping teenage girls), Rustik Remede (an all natural body care line), N-Treble Records, and TEACAKE the artist.
TEACAKE has released 3 studio albums: 9teen: Welcome To My World, My Life...Now: The EP, and Intensity. All are available on iTunes and other online music distributors.
TEACAKE also writes, directs, choreographs, and produces her own productions. She uses her creative talent to present an electrifying show.
