About Eloise Rees Music
Singer-songwriter Eloise Rees has been crafting her melt-in-the-mouth, folk pop melodies since the tender age of 14, as a regular on the Oxfordshire music scene. Eloise offers a sweet and acoustic sound that pays tribute to contemporary folk artists such as Lissie and Laura Marling. Country sounding by nature but with an idiosyncratic modern twist, Eloise Rees has received great support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 music, BBC Introducing Oxford, Amazing Radio, For Folk’s Sake and more. Eloise has supported acts such as The View, Luke Pickett, Tom Mcrae, John & Jacob and Hafdis Huld and performed internationally after being handpicked by BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris to play in Nashville at The Americana Music Festival in 2013.
Her 2015 release ‘Fragments’ led her to explore a fuller sound and embrace her reputation as a ‘genre flirt’ collaborating with a variety of different artists including UK Garage Allstars and Swiss (So Solid Crew). Whilst discovering her new sound and writing new material, Eloise has immersed herself in other passion projects by travelling and setting up youth music project Soundbox in her hometown.
Recording currently as Little Dot.Big City, she is working collaboratively to create fully produced original records and draw influences from all genres, whilst still performing acoustically to offer a stripped back version of many of these heartfelt songs. Her latest release ‘Call It A Sin’ has been described as ‘folk based dirty pop’ and is set to be the beginning of a new era for Eloise Rees.
