About Casual Gravity

Casual Gravity is a different kind of rock/pop cover band. With a focus on entertainment and energy, these guys really know how to have a good time! Playing popular songs that most cover bands don’t play, Casual Gravity provides a unique experience that you won’t soon forget. With their wide song selection, they have something for everyone. From hard rock acts such as Metallica and Iron Maiden, to 80s hair bands like Motley Crue and Poison, to pop acts like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Ke$ha, and everything in-between, their impressive library of songs and their captivating renditions are a must-see!

In addition to being one of New England’s most entertaining live shows; they continue off the stage, as well, with their short, humorous promotional videos, known as “Casual Chronicles.” Each wacky episode depicts various members of the band in off-the-wall situations while promoting their upcoming shows.

Each member brings a wealth of skill and knowledge to his instrument, making this a well-rounded and hard-hitting band that creates an impact and leaves a lasting impression. Providing a much-needed injection of life into the live band scene, Casual Gravity promises, above all, an evening to remember! Come see for yourself and bring a friend or twenty!

Tom Jarvis fronted the heavy-hitting original bands Offset and Borrowed Time before diving into the cover band scene with Craving Chaos and now Casual Gravity. He is no stranger to the entertainment industry. He is the published author of the award-winning suspense novel, Train of Consequences, as well as the former writer, director, and host of Chaotic Wrestling’s sensational web show, The ChaotiCast. He is also the primary writer and editor of the Casual Chronicles.

Tom brings an enormous amount of energy and a captivating stage presence to the band, not to mention an impressive vocal range that audiences and club owners rave about. He is a naturally compelling front man, commanding the stage like no one else does, giving Casual Gravity an undeniable advantage. His persuasive and irresistible vocal style will have you singing along in no time.

Before joining Casual Gravity, Jeff Rudokas shred on original songs with his bands Mop Stanley and Zodiac Lunch Bunch in the 90s before working as the lead guitarist for One Track Mind. Jeff offers up a delectable array of rich guitar solos and remarkable synth sounds, making him a cornerstone of the Casual Gravity sound. Jeff’s impeccable fingers and the compelling sounds that come out of his guitars are enough to make your head spin.

His on-stage personality and energy are contagious and will endear you in quick fashion. He is also the talented artist behind Casual Gravity’s website and flyers. Combined with rhythm guitarist, Rayjay, Casual Gravity’s remarkable guitar duo is a force to be reckoned with, effectively able to catapult any song from garden-variety to notoriety.

Prior to Casual Gravity, Rayjay fingered the fret board in a few original bands before becoming the rhythm guitarist for One Track Mind. He provides an indomitable rhythm style and an undeniable attitude that sets him apart from most guitarists. His affinity for the heavy, unapologetic tone, and spot-on background vocals are what give Casual Gravity their edge.

Known for being a man of little words, he is also known for his unpredictability on stage. At times, he’ll play his wireless guitar everywhere in the club from the audience to the bar, and even outside, without even missing a note! Combined with lead guitarist, Jeff Rudokas, Casual Gravity’s remarkable guitar duo is a force to be reckoned with, effectively able to catapult any song from garden-variety to notoriety.

Mark Robichaud pounded his bass in the original band Sedah and in the cover band One Track Mind, previous to forming Casual Gravity with Tom Jarvis. A self-confessed gear-junkie, Mark brings the thunder with his unsullied bass style. His weighty rhythms and tantalizing skill add a rare potency to the low end of Casual Gravity.

While a lot of other bass players melt into the background of a band, Mark possesses the uncanny ability to bring his instrument to the forefront. He also administers background vocals and memorable harmonies with lead singer, Tom Jarvis. With riveting aptitude and unmatched tone, Mark provides the sizzle AND the steak.

---

As the newest member of Casual Gravity, Anthony Laurin brings a wealth of energy and enthusiasm that fits like a glove. You may have seen him before in Eden’s Lie and Fortress (a Police tribute), but he’s all Casual now! He possesses a keen rhythmic style and a resolute tempo that compliments each song, and his fluid movements behind the kit are also fun to watch.

Along with being the new guy, he is also the youngest—but don't let that fool you. He was born with a pair of drumsticks in his hand! With his intensity and venerable vigor, Anthony adds a fresh layer to the Casual Gravity sound. And he’s also smolderingly handsome.
