About Mother Lion
Formed in late 2016, by Logan Ross (vocals and guitar), Frank Lucchetti (Bass) and Tom Tanzilli (Drums), Mother Lion is a rock n'roll band based in the city of Rome, Italy.
The musicianship between the members started years ago with some other projects, but the right balance has been reached while Mother Lion was born.
During the first half of 2017, the band recorded a six-tracks EP, which was released on the Internet in June. The EP, called "Vanta Black EP", is made with a pretty classic, quite re-elaborated recipe of dirty rock n'roll, hard blues atmospheres, and a minimal touch of funky beats. This strategy goes on for the whole EP, except for the western semi-ballad "Looking For Gold" and his instrumental reprise, "The Finding Of Gold", which both features the soprano singer Olivia Calò. The purpose of the EP is challenging the band itself, try to get them into a game, in which they develop their own forms of art and music in some fresh ways and directions.
