(who is he ?) - Just a minor introduction

Independent recording artist & performer N8N (pronounced ‘Nathan’ - ‘N-eight-N’) grew up in a family that reveres music and has contributed to the rich legacy of musical culture in Europe for over 20 years. As a kid he got to watch legends perform up-close like Ray Charles, James Brown, B.B King, Sly Stone, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince.For N8N there has never been a doubt, soul is the goal. He started playing the drums when he was 6 years old and DJ’ing at the age of 13. But it all came together when he picked up the mic at age 16 and hasn’t stopped singing ever since. As a frontman, he was able to blend together his passion for performing with his love for the soul music of his childhood and the hip-hop and rock records of his youth.In 2008, N8N teamed up with Amp Fiddler as a special guest to record ‘Relax & Watch Me Work’ previously unreleased as a single. Funk producer & bass player extravaganza Daniel Romeo produced the other 10 tracks of the album incl. the singles ‘Lost Soul’ & ‘Baby Blue’ which featured music video’s shot in Brooklyn & Manhattan. During his stay in New York, N8N took the stage at ‘The Sugar Bar’ where he was recruited for ‘America’s Got Talent’ but in the midst of releasing his album in Europe and the fact that he had no green card he had to leave the show after making it throughout the auditions.EMI Benelux signed and released the debut album ‘(Who Is He?)’ in 2010.The infectious debut record features N8N singing about all kinds of things happening in his everyday life: from love, to breaking up and a lot of partying. All the songs on ‘(Who Is He?)’ were written by N8N and friends, and includes a collaboration with Amp Fiddler on 2 songs including the title track ‘(Who Is He?)’ . The debut single ‘Lost Soul’ featured a remix by the Dutch soul team Kraak & Smaak, ‘Baby Blue’ was remixed by Ghent based producer Krewcial (B.B.E).Live N8N performs around the world from Antwerp to Tel Aviv, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Cape Town, Shanghai, New York, …And has always enjoyed a solid live reputation, performing at clubs and festivals including The Ronnie Scott’s (LDN), The Sugar Bar (NYC), Blue Note festival (BE), Lokerse Feesten (BE), Peer Rhythm & Blues fest., and The Hague Jazz (NL), Mecc. Jazz (NL), …N8N has provided opening acts for Jamiroquai, Macy Gray, Seal, Nile Rodgers, Maceo Parker, Incognito amongst many. As a DJ he has played alongside : DJ Jazzy Jeff, ?uestlove, Mark Ronson, DJ Premier, Kraak & Smaak and many more. In 2010 he promoted the aftershows for Prince in Brussels, Belgium.Currently workin’ on new music, he is recording with New York City based producer Scott Jacoby who previously worked with John Legends, Pink, Ayo, …
