Independent's Day Punk Music Fest 1995, that's where it all started. Held in October with a gathering of over 100 local (LBC and OC) punk bands playing on 10 different stages for a one-day musical blitz.As one wanna-be weakassed, watered-down, crap-ass band after another marched out with no passion or energy in their music, The Decline took the stage and flat-out smoked. Their sound was a throwback to the good ol' days of short and sonic and melodic; always to the point. The greatest and possibly last great traditional punk band from Long Beach, CA....with classic TSOL, CH3 and China White overtones, the Decline quickly established themselves as the Beach's only band that mattered. They went into hiding for a number of years only to blast their way back onto the scene with brand-new songs with more sonic energy than before.
