Audiences across the United States have enjoyed Daniel Childs' music. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Daniel spent years touring the nation in concert before settling on Florida as home. “Florida felt like home to me long before I ever knew living here was an option,” Childs said after a recent appearance. “It was a dream that became a reality. My wife Norma and I quickly fell in love with life on the Gulf Coast.”

Daniel is known in the Southeast for his full, dynamic acoustic guitar playing as well as his powerful, heart-felt singing. Solo, he has been a regular at many premier beach venues up and down the central Florida Gulf Coast, charming audiences with his melodic sound and creative use of a one-track looper pedal.

In addition to working as one of the Gulf Coast's premier solo performers, Daniel Child’s recently released an album of completely original music. The first single, "Siesta Key", released in 2020 and has been making waves among listeners. "This song takes me to another place," reported a listener from Tennessee. "I can close my eyes, and just for a moment, I'm in the place he's singing about. Siesta Key, Florida."

The album, "Escape", is a self-produced project designed to take listeners to another place, and even relieve stress. Songs like "Sanibel Day" and "Siesta Key" are memoirs of Daniel’s life-changing getaways, while songs like "Quit My Job" are anthems of leaving behind the status quo of 9-5 employment for the freeing beach lifestyle.
