About Ryan Butterworth Music
Born and raised on the coast of Bournemouth, Ryan has been making waves throughout his burgeoning career.
With a bittersweet tone that’s not too unlike fellow singer-songwriters Ben Howard and David Gray, the former Bournemouth University student is picking up a loyal following of supporters wherever he goes.
Citing inspirations to his bleak folktronica such as Radiohead, Patrick Wolf and Mike Kinsella, his sound has seen the 21-year-old earn high praise from the likes of BBC South Introducing and airplay on Forest FM.
Track ‘Oceans’ demonstrates the youthful enchantment that earned plaudits with newspapers Bournemouth Echo and Basingstoke Gazette whilst ‘Bright Eyes’, a crushing piece of melodic pop, is an anthem for the everyday man.
