Singing drummer or drumming singer? That’s something only Phil Collins and his band Genesis had, right? Wrong – and on top of that: in Hard Rock! MIDRIFF understand perfectly how to impressively demonstrate that their somewhat extraordinary line-up does first and foremost one thing: going off like a rocket, especially live!
Over the course of the past three years, the band performed all over Europe’s club scene and has become a well-known eye-catcher regarding all things rock.
On May 29th 2015, Midriff released their second full-length album “Doubts&Fears”. The band financed the recording as well as the upcoming release of the album on their own and even recorded it entirely in their own studio. The recording was was then sent to Vienna where it was mastered by Norbert Leitner. With their second album, Midriff anchor their sound between Hard Rock, Grunge, Stoner, Classic/Blues Rock and in 2015, even more so than with the album’s precursor, represent honest, raw and at the same time very likeable Guitar Rock that invites the audience to a rock party you rarely get to see these days.
