Well as you well know if you were in the ATX tonyand attended the Stealy Dan show, Kieth was on his A game. As an aspiring drummer I told the concert goer next to me…..
That A….They were going to cut the drummer loose when Asia started…..
And B….That it would be easier to invent perpetual motion than reproduce the technical skills that the drummer…..aka Keith the Carlokian Wizard displayed
over the last 7 minutes or so……
Simply a joy and inspiration to ANYONE who has an inkling of the practice and discipline that it took to do what he just did on the kit.
My only disappointment was that when the show was over he exited stage left when I was in the front row stage right. I was REALLY hoping to get a pair of live concert sticks as I had skillfully obtained the last 12 concerts I had attended. Well every streak must come to an end, just ask Dimagio….I mean I never expected to get to 57 but hey, a guy can dream can’t he? Now if whom ever monitors this thread were to want to keep the steak alive I can be reached at mike.p.dillon@gmail.com…
I mean I’m not gonna tear the knees on my 200 dollar designer jeans begging, but hey. as my daddy always said, if you don’t ask, they can’t say no:).
Either way the show was spec TAK you lar! Thanks Keith for a flat out display of drumershipshian talent!! And in closing I’ll say,,,whether it’s a 5, 7, 9 or 11…..it’s how we roll….drop the sticks!!! I’m out
