Since "Icy Morning in Paris", the first PERIO album, released by Lithium in 1994, Eric Deleporte has followed his own drumbeat: four albums between 1994 and 2015.
Given the powerfully evocative nature of the songs as well as the precision of the writing, each release has been worth the wait. Since his last album "30 minutes with…" on Objet Disque in 2015, a new dynamic has been apparent. "30 minutes with…" was the most finely crafted and warmly-welcomed PERIO record yet. "Black Condensed" has raised the bar even higher. Rarely have we seen Eric Deleporte at such ease with his clair-obscur folk, as melodically inspired and with such repeated moments of grace.
Given the powerfully evocative nature of the songs as well as the precision of the writing, each release has been worth the wait. Since his last album "30 minutes with…" on Objet Disque in 2015, a new dynamic has been apparent. "30 minutes with…" was the most finely crafted and warmly-welcomed PERIO record yet. "Black Condensed" has raised the bar even higher. Rarely have we seen Eric Deleporte at such ease with his clair-obscur folk, as melodically inspired and with such repeated moments of grace.
