About Kanan Road
They may not be true Southern boys but they are from Southern California. The three Cox brothers- Kanan, Kyle, and Kory- are joined by new members Drew Howard on bass and Roy Hernandez on drums. Together they deliver a high-energy performance.
As brothers, who hail from Palmdale, dug through their father's music collection- on vinyl- they discovered and became influenced by such greats as the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Bad Company, Jackson Browne, and The Eagles.
Their sets consist of 80% original songs, written by the Cox brothers, and 20% cover songs.
The band has shared the stage with The Marshall Tucker Band, Love & Theft, Chase Bryant, Gloriana, Lonestar, The Band Perry, Scotty McCreery, Joe Nichols, Randy Houser, The Dan Band and Blue Oyster Cult, among many others. They released their newest album, Back on Track, in late 2014 and are always cooking up new tunes.
