Max BG

The millennium is an exceptional moment for the young Dimitar Angelov a.k.a. Max (BG). Exactly then he begins his music career, when finishes the course for deejaying at E-booking Annual School. His sessions are full of fresh uplifting rhythms, definitely directed to young people and dynamic generation. They are complemented by funky and vocal elements, percussions and lots of groove – a contemporary sound that lights up the pure sound of House music.

A few years after Max (BG) starts playing, he demonstrates potential skills and real passion for music. Therefore his teachers Pacho and Pepo offer him to be part of their events management organization “Ellectrica Promotions” (established in 1996) and he is selected as artist at the Main Roster of E-booking DJ Agency (established in 2001). In 2005 Max (BG) is also invited as a co-producer of Pacho's weekly radio show "Club Time", broadcasting on Katra FM every Friday night (www.katra.fm). Long hours of studio work, numerous performances all over the Balkans, residencies at the best club in the country are the key for the success of Max (BG). In 2005 he wins national DJ Awards and become “Best DJ of The Year Bulgaria”. Later he starts to exchange music ideas with his colleague: Danny /Ellectrica Recordings/ and after 3 years together behind the decks, both artists have started own radio show "Electronic Therapy", broadcasting on the national “Alfa Radio”. In 2011 both also create a brand-new concept party, dedicated to the symbiosis between the live instrumental performance and the dj work, named “Live Sessions with DJ Max (BG) & Danny feat. George Zaikov (Trumpet).

To develop his career Max (BG) has received strong music influences and magical inspirations by names as Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Pirupa, Chus & Ceballos, Dubfire, Audiofly (with some of them he had the opportunity to share the dj booth). The first steps to present himself as a producer on the world music scene had amazing results. His first track "Folk" (2009), realized with Pacho & Pepo, has been remixed by famous Spanish producer Ismael Rivas and a few hours after the its appearance, the song get in top 5 sold house tracks for Juno Download - representative online music store. At the same time Max (BG) is collaborating for the next opening of the second label of his teachers - Stolen Soul Music and he becomes one of the most talented producers of the brand. In 2012 appears the first EP of Max (BG) & Danny - "Day By Day", that is created in collaboration with the trumpet player from Music Academy of Plovdiv: George Zaikov. It contains two original tracks and a remix. Just after the moment of its appereance, the release has reached one of the highest ranking in the Deep House chart of the online store djshop.de. It also becomes the best-selling track for Ellectrica Recordings and receives support from Marco Carola, AFFKT, Paco Osuna.
A year later Max (BG), Danny feat. George Zaikov issued their second EP "Believe", which reached 77th place in the largest online store Beatport and it is Deep House style. Another track called Good and Bad is in the top 100, 53th in Beatport. Again in 2014, Max (BG) together with his colleague Danny, became resident DJs at one of the most famous and popular clubs in Bulgaria - Planet Club.
In mid-2015 he was invited by Pacho & Pepo for the performance of their label - Cloning Sound in club EGG - London.

Max (BG) has remixed music for DJs as Kenny Ground, Ismael Rivas, Oscar de Rivera; his live sessions are emitted by Global Radio Madrid (Sain) and Ibiza Global Radio as well. One of his and Danny's remixes of the track "Brilliant" (original mix: Pacho) is included in compilation Unique Vol.2 – Selected Sounds from the Underground, where can be found productions of Valentino Kanziany, Marco Dassi, Remerc, DJ Emerson.
