About Armia

Armia (The Army, however the original name was Anti Armia and was shortened probably due to the problems with censorship in communist Poland) was formed in 1985 by ex-Siekiera vocalist Tomek Budzynski and Robert Brylewski (ex-Kryzys, Brygada Kryzys guitarist).
The band still exists (without Brylewski) and continues to put out new albums, but not as influential anymore, nor really hardcore punk. Nowadays Armia belongs rather to heavy alternative rock scene as well as to the Catholic one. Budzy also used to sing in a strict Catholic core band 2TM2,3 and also released a solo album (titled Taniec Szkieletow - Skeletons' Dance) in 2002. He and some other Armia members also released the CD called Uwagi Józefa Baki under the name of Budzy i Trupia Czaszka.
