JACQUEMO - The Album: This album is a journey in itself ranging from the happy ska sound of "Same Same" to the passionate hypnotic tango of "Desire" with beautiful strings and haunting melodys, the emphasis on violins and cello to orchestrate, driving rhythms and strong lyrics. This album wasn't made overnight - it's a lifetime of musical influences and experiences that can't be faked! Brought to you with love and a lot of effort x
Now nearly 2 years on, I have taken my album to New Zealand, forming a band around it with a mix of Mauri, English and white Kiwis - thanks to Jack Prima (bass), Boyd Dixon (drums), Hayden Scott-Dye (saxophone), Nick Stevens (first keyboard player), Gill Cotter (backing vocals), Karen Tribe (backing vocals), Greg Taylor (keyboards and trombone). Some of the gigs were truly amazing especially towards the end. The interpretation of my music was fantastic and the level of musicianship very high. I am now in the process of making my next album wich will be released before the end of the year and I can promise something very special. I am also forming the third incarnation of JACQUEMO - this will be brassy and bold with a combination of the first album "Lucky Sargent" together with the new album "Pirates In My House" and some of the tunes that have been released on Lift/Poke/Boost Music to TV & library production music. This is a very exciting time for Jacquemo and me! Watch this space!
