Tim Preston

Born + raised in Perth, WA, my passion and roots for electronic music began in the local rave scene. My first DJ
set at full-scale warehouse event Glow by Future Dance had 700+ people and won best all ages event at the
Perth Dance Music Awards. My first impression on the decks gained me booked out schedules as a mobile
party DJ. Until one night at a private function, carloads of uninvited guests crashed the party to see me play. It
was time to graduate & move forward into nightclubs + bars.
When I turned 19 I was given the opportunity and gained valuable experience as club manager / DJ resident at
all ages nightclub, Club 361 in W.A. The following year I launched a 18+ club brand called Flirt and ran &
performed at multiple “Flirt” branded parties in WA and VIC from 2009 -2013.
Later relocating east to “the most liveable city in the world” I studied music production at SAE. Entering
multiple DJ competitions I worked hard to establish myself on the Melbourne scene as a club promoter and DJ.
I played several memorable sets at 15 year old and world, renowned dance music brand Hard Kandy. I also
performed multiple times at the #1 club night in Victoria Cloud Nine and #2 Wah Wah Lounge.
In 2014 I launched my new club project Toffee Apple at Macs Nightclub in Melton, Victoria. In 2015 I focused
mainly on club shows and music production. I was booked for music festivals & interstate tours in Perth,
Cairns, Sydney & Brisbane. I won the Valley Fiesta DJ competition held in the Valley, QLD. Living the dream, I
was announced for Stereosonic music festival in December.
The biggest acts I have supported are Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks & Joel Fletcher. You can now catch me
going absolutely mental behind the decks for nationally recognised & renowned brands at various music
festivals, clubs and bars all around Australia! I
