== FR == Sunstare est l’expression des pendants lourds et agressifs des inspirations musicales de chacun de ses membres. Créé à l’été 2013, c’est sur scène, au côté de groupes contemporains devenus familiers que le quatuor lillois se forge une identité sonore autant que scénique. Une cohésion forte dans l’arrangement harmonique et rythmique et une recherche de la pertinence du riff font du projet une entité marquée, affinant un style arpentant les frontières des genres de metal les plus caverneux, du Sludge au Doom en passant par le Post-Hardcore. Début 2015, un premier album s’apprête à voir le jour : Under the Eye of Utu. Neuf titres composés sur une année, comme un couperet, emmenés par des structures finalement assez simples, mais résolument réfléchies. Le nom du groupe, Sunstare, est tiré des paroles d’une chanson de Neurosis, “The Tide”. == EN == SUNSTARE is a metal act from northern France, created in 2013. If the music of the band can be qualified as something between Sludge, Doom or Post Hardcore, SUNSTARE actually draws on a wide range of metal influences, which affords the 4 members to share pretty different stages with pretty different metal bands... The music is based on riffage with massive and darkened atmospheres, with a saturated voice that can scream or growl to express a mix of personal and mythological narratives. After several gigs with some great bands of the french metal scene, Sunstare is introducing its first full length album, Under the Eye of Utu in march 2015. https://sunstare.bandcamp.com
