EZI

Originally from the suburbs outside of New York City, EZI has been inching her way towards a D.I.Y. career in entertainment since 14 years old.

By 15, she launched a childhood acting career which ultimately lead to her landing, 30+ National TV commercials, several independent films which premiered at festivals such as Cannes Film Festival and Nighthawk Festival, and a starring role in the Nickelodeon TV series The Other Kingdom.

While attending college in New York City, she began honing in on her love for music and songwriting. She recalls “When I moved to New York City to attend college I ended up meeting several music producers out at parties and then just then found myself constantly hanging out in recording studios and writing songs with them”.

It was at that time when EZI was discovered by shoe mogul Steve Madden in a chance encounter at the Soho Steve Madden Store in New York City. Who after hearing several of her demos decided to sign her to his record label 5 Town Records as his inaugural signee. Following a move to Los Angeles and a record deal, she subsequently released her debut AFRAID OF THE DARK EP. The EP’s breakout single 'DaNcing in a RoOm' led to EZI’s debut appearance on the Billboard Charts when it debuted at #32 on the Dance Chart almost a year after its first release ultimately peaking at #13 and a sync use in Netflix’s critically acclaimed show Atypical. It also saw praise and support from Refinery29, Earmilk, The Line of Best Fit, and more.

In January 2019, EZI played a packed headline show at Brooklyn's Elsewhere and landed on the cover of Newsday. Perez Hilton dubbed her music "pop candy" and The Line Of Best Fit "bewitchingly slinky pop." Refinery 29 has called her "unstoppable force." January 2020 brings a promise of new music and EZI’s first ever headline show in LA.
