Fake Idols

FAKE IDOLS was formed from the union of three well-known and recognized European hard rock/metal bands: Raintime, Slowmotion Apocalypse and Jar of Bones.

FAKE IDOLS’ new album “Witness” came out on September 16th via Scarlet Records and has since been described as an adrenaline bomb charged up with great rock/metal tunes and plenty of attitude. The album features a very special guest appearance by Motörhead legend PHIL CAMPBELL (now leading his own band Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons).

Phil also starred in the video of “Mad Fall”, the first single taken from the album. Also charismatic singer Davide Damna Moras (Elvenking / Hell in the Club) stars in one song called “The City Is Burning”.

FAKE IDOLS’ self-titled debut album featuring Crucified Barbara's singer Mia Coldheart as special guest was released worldwide by Lifeforce Records and Bickee Music (Japan only) in 2014.

Both albums were recorded at Raptor Recordig Studios by Matteo “Ciube” Tabacco (Dufresne).

A bunch of songs from “Fake Idols” are included in the soundtrack of the movie “Milano In The Cage” by director Fabio Bastianello. The film premiered on September 2016 at the prestigious Venezia International Film Festival and its trailer was introduced to audience and reviewers for the first time at Cannes Film Festival.

FAKE IDOLS unites the different backgrounds of its members and their different musical influences and styles in order to infuse their invaluable musical experiences over the years into the new album.

Dall'unione di tre band conosciute e apprezzate in ambito metal/hard rock in Europa e non solo (Raintime, Slowmotion Apocalypse e Jar of Bones) nascono i FAKE IDOLS.

“Witness”, il nuovo album uscito il 16 settembre per Scarlet Records, è stato descritto come una bomba adrenalinica che non deluderà chi ha apprezzato l’eponimo album di debutto dei FAKE IDOLS ed è stato salutato con entusiasmo della critica specializzata. A garanzia della sua trascinante energia, “Witness” può vantare la presenza in veste di special guest del leggendario chitarrista dei Motörhead PHIL CAMPBELL (impegnato attualmente con la sua band Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons) e del carismatico frontman di Elvenking e Hell in the Club, Davide “Damna” Moras. Phil compare anche nel video di “Mad Fall”, primo singolo tratto dal nuovo album.

L'album di debutto dei FAKE IDOLS, uscito nel 2014, è stato pubblicato su scala mondiale da Lifeforce Records e in Giappone da Bickee Music.
Il brano “My Hero” vedeva la partecipazione di Mia Coldheart delle Crucified Barbara.

Sia “Fake Idols” che “Witness” stati registrati presso il Raptor Recording Studio di Matteo “Ciube” Tabacco (Dufresne).

Alcuni brani tratti da “Fake Idols” sono stati inseriti nella colonna sonora del film “Milano In The Cage” del regista Fabio Bastianello. La pellicola ha fatto il suo debutto nel settembre 2016 alla prestigiosa Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia, mentre il trailer è stato presentato a pubblico e critica in occasione del Festival di Cannes.

La ricerca di nuove sonorità ha portato i membri di Raintime, Slowmotion Apocalypse e Jar Of Bones ad unire le forze in nuovo, promettente progetto che possa contare su diversi background e su diverse influenze musicali e stilistiche maturate con le preziose esperienze passate.
