Had a blast! Hadn't gone to a matinee in a long time. Missed the Runts but got there just in time to see Skullcrack. Didn't realize Ron Martinez from Final Conflict/Lower Class Brats was doing vox for Angry Samoans until I saw him on stage with them. Ill Repute was just as good as the other times I've seen them. There were several members of other Nardcore bands there to help represent Oxnard. The guitar player from the Weirdos played a couple of songs with them. He told me he will be 69 soon. Great to see an old skool car like him still tearing it up on some punk tunes! Great times 👍🍻😝🤟

About Ill Repute

Ill Repute is an old school hardcore punk band from Oxnard, California. The lead guitarist, Tony Cortez (original band member) is considered the "Mayor of Nardcore." They released the now-classic What Happens Next? LP (CD version = What Happened Then?). They disbanded after a short tour of Hawaii with the Oahu band 8mm OVERDOSE. Ill Repute briefly reformed again (minus founding guitarist Tony Cortez) to tour Hawaii in 2006 again with 8mm Overdose. Ill Repute has reformed with original members, (except Carl Valdez replaced by Chuck Shultz) and they played one show in Ventura, CA on Dec 16th, 2006 which they claimed was to be their last show, but have since reformed.

Ill Repute original lineup
John Phaneuf - Vocals
Tony Cortez - Guitar
Jim Callahan - Bass
