Sultry. Strong. Sexy. She is a woman with history, full of valor, drive, and love for family and God. Often fearless, yet humbly bashful, she writes with passion and honesty. She sings like a storm will steal her dreams with her voice their only savior. She is playful, flirty and downright fun…she is a girl after your own heart.

Tiffany Carlen is a singer/songwriter with family roots stretching from New Jersey where she was born and raised, to the farms of Illinois where her grandmother, Katie Dunn Carlen, raised her seven children, and now Texas where she calls home. Grandma Katie was her first musical inspiration. One of the Dunn Sisters Trio, she was well known for her yodeling and played for the likes of Roy Rogers. Tiffany’s mother also influenced her vocal style with a contagious love for Patsy Cline and a tenacious attitude she undoubtedly passed onto her daughter.

“I have an old soul with a modern day boldness. It’s definitely reflected in my lyrics. I don’t hold back.”

Her sound is distinctive, a blending of sounds from the various places she has lived over the years. It is full of a passion for blues with the soul of country music and her lyrics speak of nothing but honesty. Tiffany writes from the stories of her own life and from women who pass through her life.

“Each of us has a story to tell and my goal is to tell them with songs, knowing that somewhere a woman might be crying right along with me or shakin’ it on the dance floor. I am a voice for other women, not just myself.”

Over the years Tiffany has graced the stages of opry houses, thrived as lead singer of a band, conquered entrepreneurial success and started a family. All along the way she perfected her writing and vocal ability. Tiffany’s debut album, appropriately titled “It’s a Girl Thing” is ready for release. The title song is an engaging, fun and upbeat anthem for women. It has everything “girly” women value: family, friendship, fashion, a glass of good wine and ‘getting what they want’! This album is relatable, thoughtful and sexy…and no doubt a driving force for women from the back country roads to the big city streets. Come along for the ride!
