About Psychic Ills

Psychic Ills are a Brooklyn, New York based experimental rock group formed in 2003 by Tom Gluibizzi, playing guitar and keyboard, and Tres Warren on vocals. In 2004 and 2005 they released the limited EPs Mental Violence I and Mental Violence II, which were reissued together as Early Violence with two previously unreleased tracks (Highway of Death and Diamond City Redux) in 2006 on the Social Registry label. The duo was later joined by bassist Elizabeth Hart and drummer Brian Tamborello, and now as a quartet, released their first full length album Dins. Tom Gluibizzi has since been replaced by Jimy SeiTang.

"Mirror Eye", a new album, is set to release on January 20th of 2009 on the Social Registry label.

Their sound has included a combination of shoegaze-like drones, ambient textures, neo-psychedelics, a punk-like energy and many other experimental rock and psychedelic related influences. If you're a fan of drug-influenced genres, then Psychic Ills won't be out of place in your collection.
