Jarrett Gilgore

Jarrett Gilgore (b. 1992, Philadelphia) is a musician based in Baltimore. He primarily plays saxophone. Jarrett can be seen playing with Time Toss, Triage, Xenga, Baltimore Afrobeat Society, Heart of the Ghost, Anthony Pirog Sextet, Words Are Not Enough, Jaimie Branch's Bombshelter, and the Chris Pumphrey Sextet. He performs actively in the U.S.A. and Europe. Since moving to Baltimore in 2011 he has performed with locals ranging from Dan Deacon to Michael Formanek to Eze Jackson. He also plays drums for singer-songwriter, Amanda Glasser's, new band, Purrer. Jarrett has played in bands on bills with the likes of Tim Berne, Mary Halvorson, ICP Orchestra, Beach House, Future Islands, Josh Roseman, Craig Taborn. Over the years he's collaborated with many incredible improvisers: Jaimie Branch, Frank Rosaly, Anthony Pirog, Susan Alcorn, Dave Ballou, John Dierker, Andrew D'Angelo, John Dikeman, Kenny Warren, Steve Swell, Adam Hopkins, Wilbert de Joode, Russ Johnson, Anton Hatwich...
