Rudy Currence

Rudy Currence is a Grammy and Dove Award winning producer, Grammy nominated songwriter, and #1 Billboard Gospel recording artist. Described by his fans as simply an “Experience”, Rudy is the son of pastor, a native of Rock Hill, SC and a graduate of Furman University with a degree in Music. In recognition of his ongoing impact in the music world, he was recently celebrated with a key to the city of Greenville, SC.
In 2022, he performed at the 37th Stellar Awards which aired on BET, BET Gospel, and Bounce TV. Other notable televised appearances include ABC’s “The View”, Revolt TV, Music Choice, Fox Soul and The Breakfast Club. Rudy has toured both nationally and abroad, performing in renowned venues like the House of Blues, Nashville Music City Center, City Winery, the Soul Train Music Cruise, Blue Bird Café, Cobb Energy Center, and The World Famous Apollo Theatre.
An unmatched pianist, Rudy is endorsed by Kawai Piano, the world’s 2nd largest piano distributor. His writing and production credits include songs for the iconic Quincy Jones, Mya, Ray J, “The Bourne Identity” soundtrack, and David Banner. With more than 10 million channel views on YouTube, he’s also been featured on projects with Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Ledisi, Chico DeBarge, Raheem DeVaughn, Donald Lawrence and Byron Cage. In 2013, Rudy won both Grammy and Dove awards for his production on Lecrae’s album, “Gravity” and in 2015, was again Grammy nominated for writing “Sunday AM” for gospel legend, Karen Clark Sheard. Rudy delivers unforgettable live performances and has shared the stage with major artists like Kirk Franklin, Koryn Hawthorne, Marvin Winans, Keke Wyatt, Regina Belle, Jazmine Sullivan and more.
In 2017, Rudy’s single, “Testimony”, exploded onto the gospel charts with a swift rise to Billboard’s Top 20. In early 2021, “I Belong Here” captured the #1 Billboard spot on the Gospel Airplay Charts for two consecutive weeks, as well as the #1 Billboard Gospel Songwriter spot. Rudy is one of only 6 writers to hold this coveted title. Later that year, he released “No Greater Love” featuring Grammy Award winning recording artist, Chrisette Michelle. The song peaked at the #1 position on the Billboard Gospel Airplay, Billboard Gospel Indicator and Mediabase charts, earning him his second #1 Billboard hit. Rudy recently released 2 new back-to-back singles: “One of These Days” and “Vans X Adidas” (pronounced Vans and Adidas), as an official teaser for his new project. The highly anticipated album, “Stained Glass Windows” was released in April 2023 along with his latest radio single, “Ransom”.
