The Groove Objective

The Groove Objective is a 6 piece Groove, Soul, Rock, Blues, Pop, Fusion, and everything in-between band; we even play World Music. Our instrumentation includes Lead vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Trumpet, Bass, and Drums. Our focus is on deep tracks and new arrangements and Da Groove. We are musically, culturally, and internationally diverse thus adding a melting pot of flavors and styles to our music and creating funky and soulful sounds that warm our audiences' hearts.

The Groove Objective stems from San Francisco Bay Area and has been together since 2012. We cover artists such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Donna Summer, Amy Winehouse, Imelda May, Scary Pockets, Fishbone, the Police, Dire Straits, Queen, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, David Bowie, Tower of Power, Prince, Trombone Shorty, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan - just to name a few.

We’ve performed in many festivals, private parties, and venues throughout the Bay Area such as Slim’s, SF (our debut); The Great American Music Hall, SF; The Ashkenaz, SF; The Club Fox, RWC; St. James Gate, Belmont; The Starry Plough, Berkeley; La Nebbia Winery, HMB; The Half Moon Brewing Company, HMB; San Pedro Square, San Jose - Monthly Residency.... and many more. Pre-pandemic, we held monthly residencies at Piacere Restaurant, San Carlos; Park Chalet, SF, Lake Chalet, Oakland; and 21st Amendment Brewery, San Leandro.

We excel in both creating a party atmosphere and, when necessary, remaining in the background. Ultimately, the Groove Defines US!! We can't wait to play at your next event!
