“Latin superstar Severo, brings cumbia flavor with a touch of tropical rhythm to the Latin music genre. His style is very versatile, with a band that has embraced musicians from all over the United States. Severo is not only a musician, but also an all-around entertainer that will have everyone up and dancing.” A native New Mexican, Severo has had a successful career in the Latin music scene since 2005 as a singer of traditional Spanish music. His first album, Amor de Familia, was issued in 2005 and went on to win several Hispano Music Awards. Severo was awarded “Upcoming Artist of the Year,” and also received 3 other nominations. In 2008, Severo released his second album titled “Quiero Mas.” With this release, Severo won two awards including: Latino/Pop Song of the Year and Salsa/Tropical Song of the year. In November 2010, Severo released his third album titled “Todo de Mi.” This album includes many different styles of music highlighting Severo’s versatility as a musician and performer. “Todo de Mi,” was nominated for 3 awards in 2011 and won Severo Latino/Pop song of the year. Severo has also created a band that has taken the Latin Music scene by surprise. The band includes 7 members and is made up of musicians from all over the United States. Severo y Grupo Fuego have taken the art of recording and performing Latin music to a whole new level. They have performed all over the Southwest region of the United States including: New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. They have also traveled to Kansas City, San Antonio, and Miami on a recent promotional tour for their upcoming self titled album to be released in Winter of 2011.
