About Pussyfoot

With enough soul power to electrify any audience out of their seats, Pzzyfoot always comes ready to rock. Her 2017 premier album Religion is a rowdy pop-rock adventure that comes to life on stage.

Jamera Simmons (aka Pzzyfoot) began her Alt-Rock career in 2015 while the then, single mother worked 3 jobs as a cocktail waitress, motorcycle mechanic, and a nanny in Atlanta, Ga. Fate stepped in, after she answered an ad in Craigslist for a songwriter and met Monty Conner, Chad Blackwell, and Julio Miranda- (studio guitarist to the likes of India Arie and Christina Aguilera). Jamera began then writing and performing collaboratively under the stage name Pzzyfoot. The Japanese born singer/songwriter’s nomadic upbringing is immediately apparent as she weaves soul, pop, rock, reggae and other musical influences into her own celebration of the brazen free spirit.

Pzzyfoot made a name for herself in Atlanta's live music scene performing in over 50 shows last year alone and being voted Readers Choice for “Best Pop Act” in Atlanta's Creative Loafing. In 2016, she established the label JamEra Music Llc in order to release her first full length album, Religion, -- a formidable taste of her musical capabilities. The single “CowGirl” continues to pick up loyal supporters from around the world, including radio play in the US and UK.

Currently, PzzyFoot hosts Libro Musica’s YouTube series #MusicLife, spotlighting diverse indie musicians. This Summer, however, will see Pzzyfoot back in the studio recording her third project that includes crowd favorites from their touring show such as “Bad Mutha”, “Entertainment,” “Dirty Hippie” and “Moshi Moshi.”

Written by Jamera as a testament of omnipotent love for her family, her band and the world at large, like a siren’s song “Religion” beckons the listener to let their guard down and embrace their music wholeheartedly.
“Love me like it’s your religion — Fall down on your knees, step into my love light” Jamera declares, anchoring the recording with the same alluring and resonant voice that makes their live performances so vibrant.

In a world that craves a little extra soul-power, “Religion” proves to be a much-needed dose of musical uplift
