Odessos

Odessos began as "White Chocolate", the acoustic duo of Philip Temple & Richard Simunac in late 2012. As their musical repertoire grew, they enlisted Brian Johnson and Lamar Butler as bassist and drummer to fill out the rhythm section. It soon became apparent that their music needed to be taken more seriously, and so the name changed to Odessos in early 2014.

Boasting the type of chemistry that can only be compared to bands that have been touring for years, Odessos brings a live experience that isn't to be missed. The band comes alive on stage and brings the audience on a musical joyride through soundscapes that feature influences from jazz, pop, rock, indie, funk, and more.

With an unstoppable desire to spread the joy of music, they aim to make you get up and dance with their infectious, energetic, and entirely unique style of music.

Odessos has performed all over Florida. Their current track record takes them through Orlando, Deland, Daytona, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Melbourne, and Sunrise. The summer of 2014 saw them on a week long tour through the state, where they played with notable local acts such as 'Europa', 'Goodmorning, Love', 'Velocirapture', and many others. They play at some of Orlando's best known venues regularly, including Backbooth, Will's Pub, and The Social.

Their first full band EP 'Ursus Arctos Arctos' came out in late 2015, to acclaim from fans and critics alike. The Vinyl Warhol calls Odessos "...exactly what I was looking for out of a modern band. Their interesting song structures and alternate time signatures diversifies the group of songs without taking them out of their element... Long story short, Ursus Arctos Arctos is fucking phenomenal. Get psyched."
