Brett McCrady

Brett McCrady combines catchy melodies with thoughtful lyrics to make the world seem a little brighter. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter is based in Calgary, Alberta. After independently releasing his debut album "Coastline Paradise" in 2013, Brett shared stages with Blue Rodeo, Jeremy Passion, Jordan Klassen and Joanna Borromeo. In September 2015, Brett won Café Koi's Artist Springboard Contest, which allowed him to record his new single "Silver Lining"—released in January 2016—with Steve Rokosh (Ruben Young, Port Juvee). In July 2016, Brett was selected as one of the artists for The Prophets of Music's inaugural Emerging Artist Program alongside High Love and The Ashley Hundred. The program allowed Brett to record his new EP "Drifting Through The Ordinary" at OCL Studios and perform with acts like Reuben and the Dark and Jocelyn Alice. Brett's upcoming EP features the award-winning talents of guitarist Russell Broom (Jann Arden, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald), keyboardist Mike Little (Serena Ryder, Brett Kissel), bassist Chris Byrne (George Canyon, Jason McCoy), drummer Lyle Molzan (Dean Brody, David Wilcox) and many more, and will be released on July 28, 2017.
