About Erin K

It's rare that I hear something that makes me go WTF!?!! But these guys definitely inspired that reaction in me, in a really good way. Telling personal, uncomplicated stories over pretty tunes in an understated and very cool manner. Talented song writers and beautiful tones/harmonies…" - ALEX BAKER, KERRANG! RADIO/ Q RADIO "An R-rated Pam Ayres for Generation Y." The Guardian Erin K is Erin Kleh and just a few years ago she picked up a guitar and began writing autobiographical songs that earned her a reputation in the London anti-folk scene. She performs a range of quirky, honest and heartfelt songs and has developed her own style of folk, with songs touching upon subjects like sex dolls, hybrid animals, ships, relationships and food. She performed at both the Olympics and Paralympics in London, and also played a solo show at the Edinburgh Festival. She has headlined many of London's must-do venues, including Union Chapel and Bush Hall. Her song "coins" was hand picked as Huw Stephens' BBC Introducing Tip of The Week. She was the first unsigned act to be played on Nihal's Review Show on BBC1, and has had airplay on 6Music with Tom Robinson, BBC London, Absolute Radio and Kerrang and was The Guardians' Band of the Day #1,111. She has just self-released her first single "Coins" and toured extensively throughout Italy, playing over 100 shows last year. She recently recorded her first album "Little Torch", which is set to be released March 31st 2017. The album is co-produced by Andrea Appino (Zen Circus) and features guests performances by Roy Paci and Enrico Gabrielle. Erin opened for Zen Circus on their latest tour in Italy, highlighted by a sold out show at Alcatraz in Milan. Sometimes funny, but never a comedy band, sometimes sad, but never melancholic. With harmonies that will send a shiver down your spine, lyrics that always hit a spot, tunes you'll be singing for weeks after and an incredible stage performance, this is a band that has to be experienced live at least once. twitter: @erinkmusic . . . www.erinkmusic.com
