Derek Wayne Martin

“I wasn't expecting that,” said a listener at an open mic after hearing Derek Wayne Martin's song “Too Much.” If there is any budding songwriter committed to making you feel something, it's Derek Wayne Martin. In 2011 Derek Wayne Martin recorded his first EP entitled A Million Miles which helped establish a sound nestled somewhere in the family of Americana artists like Ryan Adams. From there he recorded two EP's - 2013's Hard Times and 2015's Ghost Town which made a departure into the more intimate vibes of David Ramirez and Jason Isbell. Martin has also been a winner multiple times of the Eddie Owen Presents open mic in Duluth, GA, and has been a contender in the Eddie Owen Presents Shootout. Martin also hosts the Songwriter's Stage open mic competition at The Camp House in Chattanooga, TN.
