The Genre Band

Based out of Dyersburg, TN, The Genre Band is one of West Tennessee's premier groups. Armed with their instruments, rich harmony vocals, and a passion for entertaining, The Genre Band provides a fun-loving, rockin' show like no other! The name 'Genre' represents the versatility of the group's catalog. Whether it's playing Blues and Rockabilly in Memphis, Country for the boot scooters, or Rock, The Genre Band feels at home on any stage. The Genre Band has been a part of many West Tennessee prestigious events such as the annual West Tennessee Strawberry and Tomato Festivals. They have also performed for Tennessee State Fair Member Fairs in Lauderdale and Gibson Counties, and have performed in Arkansas and Kentucky. The Genre Band has also performed at The Tina Turner Museum, and on multiple occasions, for the Jackson Generals Minor League Baseball Team and their fans. In 2016, The Genre Band placed 2nd in a fan voted contest to open for Country Music superstar Kellie Pickler and was named the featured headlining act of the Jackson/ Madison County, TN Firefighter's Freedom Festival with over 10,000 persons in attendance. TGB will be back at the Freedom Fest as headliner in 2017. In 2017, The Genre Band became an associate member of the Tennessee Association of Fairs and was selected to be the headlining act of the association's President's Ball in 2018. Also in 2017, The Genre Band will be featured on 'Studio 6' and 'Six In the City' for EPlus 6 TV in Jackson, TN.
