Matthew's single "This Is Our Home"(2014) was written two days after the devastating tornadoes hit several central Arkansas communities in which he lived near. All of the proceeds from sales of this song are going to relief efforts. In 6 short years Huff has played over 500 shows from California to Florida as well to the UK, building his fan base to an international level. Huff makes sure to give back to several charities throughout the year and highly supports organizations such as Team-Keegan, All Children's Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Also, he created his own scholarship, in which he gives a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior from his alma mater, Mammoth Spring High. The Matthew Huff Scholarship is designed to motivate students to not only dream the dream, but step out and pursue the dream. Growing up in Mammoth Spring, AR on a thousand acres of family land, where dirt roads twined and mingled their way through the hills of north Arkansas, didn’t give Matthew Huff many opportunities to shake hands with country music stars or even semi stars for that matter. There was really no live music scene to whet the appetite but there was the radio and of course there was church. The small town did give Matthew a wealth of real life knowledge, background and experiences to draw from when he realized God had put the talent within him to put words together that would paint pictures in song. "We dream and pursue, as we achieve only after we fall. Life can be a long hard road, but you wake up each day and keep going. God gives us talents and they deserve obedience to step forward and use them in positive ways."
